I just signed up for the CalArts/Coursera ChucK course. Downloaded & installed miniAudicle and viewed videos/read tutorials. Everything was working great for a few hours and I got very excited. Then suddenly, it started crashing constantly. Right now I can't even write out Hello World without a crash. When I start the VM, I get a message "The VM appears to be hanging".

Tried re-booting, re-installing, messing with MIDI settings, no luck. Any help/advice appreciated!

Thanks! I'll try posting there too. My first assignment is due tomorrow night so I'm desperate to get this thing stable and make some more stuff.

looking at your screen shot .. maybe it is related to : http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-60099.html ?

So .. maybe ... try not using any other audio and see if it still crashes then ... just a long shot ...

Hello . I'm on 10.6.8, but when the message u show come up i just press cancel. for me miniadicle works fine. if u still have problems, try command line chuck, or the very alpha and experimental audicle.

hopes it helps. Cool

Thanks for your reply Smile , somehow it started working again last night. No idea how or why. I'm still getting the error pop-ups but at least it doesn't crash when I hit cancel. With luck, it will be stable enought to get through my course.

And now I'm back to square one--constant crashes. Hoping someone from CalArts or Coursera can step in, otherwise I'm done. First assignment is due tomorrow and I can't waste any more time on buggy software.
