Subject description: Question about manually triggering patches...

Bit of a general noob question about patches...

Using a Micro Modular, how do you create a patch that can be manually triggered by Shift+Note Trig and then stays on doing its thing, as opposed to stopping once you release those buttons?

I'm finding my way around the unit and patches OK, just don't always want them coming on as soon as you plug the power chord in or jump to their bank slot.

Thanks!

Hi Redline welcome

Depending on what you actually want to trigger when you push the button there are many ways to achieve that.

If you want to start the sequencer, you can assign the Knob 4 to the Clock Generator's "On" button.

If you just want to be able to turn audio output on and off, I think the easiest way would be to use "On/Off" switch just before audio output.

Thanks!

So Knob 4 is the position on the Micro for the Trig buttons? Great, that's helpful.

Cheers! Very Happy

Oh, I've just reread your first post and I see you meant the Note Trig button (Shift+Up) - the above example was for the Shift+Down, which is for Knob (button) 4. Sorry for confusion. You can still do it though, but with different button Wink
