Ray does not specify pot types on his designs, and I have always used Linear pots for the CV inputs on my modules, not quite sure why it just seemed to be right.
However since rebuilding my soundlab (photos to follow) as a patched out euro-rack module I have realized that I spend most of the time fiddling around in the bottom 10% travel of the pot, so I wondered would it have been better to use logarithmic ones?
Has anybody else thought about this?

Hi Stephen.

That sounds a good idea , i'm a big fan of attenuators on every input and as you say dialing in small modulation amounts is most satisfiying.
I think i may be beyond the point of changing my cv in pots from lin to log it would take me a year at least Smile and the log 16mm alpha pots at Rapid are 3p cheaper than the lins Wink

How about making the vco & vcf cv in's with a log pot each and the rest with lins.

love to see the pic of the soundlab Smile

Dave.

Dave.

Fortunately its easy enough to get to the CV ins on everything, and I can easily change one at a time, so I will probably just go for it. Shocked
