Hi There,

How can i record an automation in my DAW.

lets say i wht to draw a cutoff line, not to tweak it realtime by recording!?

i use cubase 5

motu ultralite mk3 ( midi in and out)

I take it you're trying to control the cutoff of a filter on the G2.

On the G2 you can load a Midi CC receive module in next to your filter, then just connect them. From Cubase just draw an automation line into the CC number which corresponds to the CC receive module on the G2 and make sure they're on the same channel.

If you need a more detailed description of where to find all these things in both systems just ask. The more detailed and specific the question the better the answer.

Cool gravedigger post. Smile

I just wanted to butt in and mention that you don't need the midi receive module for straight CC -> knob midi control. Right click the freq knob, and then go to midi -> assign... In the dialog that opens select a CC number and from then on MIDI CC messages received with that control number will control the freq knob.
