Subject description: LEDs
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Hi, I bought x0b0x on ebay. It seems all working. But couple things not working:
1. SLIDE, ACC, PREV buttons working, but LEDs never get lid.
2. On Track playing, as I read in manual pressing UP or DOWN should transpose pattern, but that not happening.
I was suggested to update firmware before checking LEDs. But Ladyada forum is down. And I wonder is there any reliable source where I can download latest Sokkos?
3. What is the best manual? I found couple versions, but they not like very good.

Since ladyada forum is down, what is the biggest place where x0b0xers communicate?

Verify that the LEDs aren't backwards.....

No comments on the rest. I have a couple x0xb0xes in various states, but I haven't spent a lot of time on the forums for them.

Replaced LEDs with 100% working, they still not lighting up.
Also I`ve got spare space for IC15A.
I solved problem with adafruit forum -- somehow my provider blocking it, and I am using proxy to access it.

have you verified that they're oriented correctly? I wasn't suggesting that the ones there were bad....

Bizarre that your provider would block that....

Here you can find the latest version...

If your in edit mode (3 o'clock) and play a pattern that haves acc and slide, d the lights light on?
If not the next thing you should check is ic8, is it with socket?

No, it never lights on.
How do I check IC8? It is not in socket, solder points seems good. Checked R205 and R204, they are 10K

I am little bit in confusion what pins from IC8 should connect resistors.
According to this schematic http://2.hidemyass.com/ip-3/encoded/Oi8vd2lraS5vcGVubXVzaWNsYWJzLmNvbS93aWtpL3gweGIweD9hY3Rpb249QXR0YWNoRmlsZSZkbz1nZXQmdGFyZ2V0PW1haW5ib2FyZDIucG5n .
IC8 pin 2 > R204
IC8 pin 1 > R205

Ring with multimeter I have:
IC8 pin13, 1,2,8 > R205. R204 Connected same:
IC8 pin13, 1,2,8 > R204

Should not they be connected for only one pin of IC8?
Also pin 13(G) and 1,2,8 on IC8 are connected.

R205 is Led 39 which is the accent, connected to ic8 pin 1.
R204 is Led 40 which is the slide, connected to ic8 pin 2.

I'll check with mine if the same pins rings when touching the pins you mention.
