Is there a source for these things online somewhere? I've had no luck at all so far. I'm planning a project that will involve lots of tape loops. 1/4" is my target, but 1/2" could work. Harvesting 1/8" heads from cassette decks isn't really an option, the tape is awful to work with.

I appreciate the help!

If you can get by with used - check local area radio stations. They may have 1/4 inch decks in the basement you could have if you haul them away. Also - ask about Cart Machines - they use 1/4 inch tape and probably just got pulled and stuck in corners years ago.
