Can I use a 2 pole 4 positions rotary
Switch instead of the 3 poles 4 positions that's
Recommended ? As I can see in the schematics
There is no use for the 3rd pole ...
Am i missing something here?

Thanks!

Of course you can. But since most of 2 pole rotary switches are actually pre-configured as 2 pole 6 positions, you may have to reduce the travel of the switch to four using the keyed ring which is on top, under the nut. Those rotary switches are all mechanically the same, only the electrical wiring change, so I assume that Yves used the 3 pole 4 positions for sake of simplicity.
