Hi,
I wanted to build a LED chaser just as in the schematic. I bought the parts and soldered them together but when i power it only 1 LED lights up. It doesnt start the chase effect.. When i take the battery away and power this thing up again another LED lights up but not in the order it is supposed to light up..
What am i doing wrong?

welcome party!

pin4 of the 555 needs to go to +9VDC
(it's the reset pin, so your 555 is probably not oscillating now)

yes that is correct.

N.C. stands for Not Connected, but that's wrong in this circuit.
It could be that there is something else wrong with your circuit,
but that is a likely cause.
