Hello everyone, I'm trying to figure out how to manipulate the range of my Roland EV-5 expression pedal. My problem is as follows:

I have a Moog MF-102 ring modulator. It has expression pedal control input for the frequency of the ring mod. I'm finding that the range that I have control over is too broad with the EV-5. I am able to set the minimum range on the pedal via the pot on the side, But I find that I need to really limit the maximum value of the pedal.

The pedal has a 10k pot for CV purposes, and a 50k pot to set the minimum value. The simple schematic can be found here http://www.neunabertechnology.com/support/tech-notes/expression-inputs.

The range of the frequency knob on the pedal is marked as ranging from .06hz to 80hz. I am only interested in ranging between values from .06hz to about 20hz.

With my current understanding of the EV-5, I assume that I'd be able to set the frequency knob of the pedal to its minimum (.06hz) position, and adjust my maximum frequency with the range knob on the side of the EV-5. However, When configured this way, any movement of the range pot narrows by raising the sweepable window to, for example, 20hz to 80hz.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to limit the maximum value of the expression range rather than the minimum? Can we add a pot somewhere to achieve this effect?

looking at the schematic I think it can be easily done by adding another potentiometer to the other side of the 10K (CV) pot. There will be some
interaction between the max/min pots so it'll take some adjusting to set the range right, but should work.
