This site has some nice recommendations, I like the music centered focus as opposed to a specific product or product driven site.
I am a long time (pretty much retired) professionally trained singer (Opera-Liturgical)- when I'm not teaching, or playing Old-Time Banjo, or some other form of Americana- you can find me hunched over my electric toys, making divine, haunting, humorous, and ridiculous sounds. I have maybe two friends, who claim to like what I do with this medium- most of the rest seem indifferent... Pretty comfortable getting around on Ableton Live Suite 9, also using Elektron Machinedrum...
I am LONGING for a real, analog, modular synthesizer...and of course, more modules than my studio apartment can manage- I am fortunate to live in a city where there is a bit of a scene... some of my friends make their own synths using the Serge format kits... I'm really tempted to follow their example, however, my technical education is pretty much limited to off, and on switches...so I may go Eurotrack- Look forward to meeting folks, and making some new friends.
Howdy!

welcome Logeek!

Do you have any of that music posted anywhere? I'm always interested in listening. Smile
