Just built Ray's volt per octave calibrator. I have a problem with the manual step.
Works perfectly in automatic mode, but if a press the step button I get a lot of noise on top of the output signal (about 4v pk to pk). If I switch back to automatic it goes away after a few cycles.
The noisy signal is only on the output pin of the final opamp, the input signal is fine.

Anybody got any clues? My electronic theory is not good enough for me to think it through!
