I bought Live Suite just before the release of version 9 and then had to manually update to 9. Supposedly Live has an auto update feature that does it, well, automatically. Shocked

This has never worked on my laptop (Win 7. 32bit) or desktop (Win 7. 64 bit). Crying or Very sad I contacted Ableton about this and they fed me the usual sw developer lines...make sure its installed in the default location and that firewall and anti virus software is not blocking it. The laptop has neither of those and on both machines the software was installed where it wanted to.

Is there something else I should check? Intelligent Background Services, etc?

Never worked for me either so you are not alone.

And I'm on OSX.

They requested a status report so I sent one to them. I wouldn't mind so much if it just told me there was an update though auto install might be nice. Of course I could see it doing that during the middle of a session... Confused

I'm thinking that it might require leaving the computer/sw on for several hours to give it time to do its thing. I've only been doing 2 hr sessions at the most with it...

I heard back and apparently it was checking but I wasn't leaving it on long enough for it to do its thing. I usually work about 2 hours so it seems it needs more time then that. It would be nice if it did what Reaper does and flash a notice saying an update is available. Then you could either let the program get the update or do it yourself...(Reaper doesn't do the download portion).

Well, one issue down Smile
