How is it possible to connect two hin hong keyboards to the same keyboard controller? The limitation of two notes and the small 3 octave keyboard should be overrided somehow.

Check out this thread for the schematic. Since it's not a matrix based keyboard it could be as simple as
connecting one keyboard (the keys) to both keyboards but maybe you'd need some diodes to isolate them from eachother.
You could also run one keyboard at a lower clock speed which gives you a wider octave range instead of more voices.

Thanks. Isn't there a way to make all these toy keyboards into more of a modular system? At least for the oscillators? I know the main Yamaha PSS/PSR chip that was used on the early soundblaster has a lot of potential for more than sound generation. It seems the "oscilattors" with additional tone colors is what is needed, which more toy keyboards can provide.
