Hey there. I'm back to thinking about these sorts of circuits again after a long break and figured I'd share a schematic for something I was working on called the Eunuch Selector. I named it that because it has no knobs and makes arbitrary cuts. It is inspired by the Doepfer A-152, Ciat Lonbarde analog organs and my Skeevy family of random voltage generators.

It is a touch-controlled random signal router (analog multiplexer) and random CV generator. Flesh is used in place of clock signals. You touch the electrodes to make it scan. Sometimes it has stable resting states, other times it runs amok. Withholding coupling capacitors increases the erratic behavior. The CV generator is also clocked by one’s flesh and runs in parallel with the multiplexer. There is a ring of 6 LEDs that indicates the logic states of the innards. Read the notes on the schematic for some information about mods that can be done. Some applications may require adding buffers.

I'm interested in adding lots of touch control options to my hypothetical Lunetta, as this is something I don't see very often in these sorts of designs. Here's another Lunettaesque circuit (excuse the NPNs) along those lines that may prove useful to some of you:

nice, I've been thinking about some touch controlled circuits so this is inspirational Very Happy

just one note, you don't need to use all the pulldown resistors.
They're only needed on inputs that are connected to a switch or connector or something else which can cause them to float.
If you want to make them low/high permanently you can just connect them directly to GND/Vcc. And there's no need for them
when an input is connected to an output either. So normally you'd have to use some pulldown resistors on the CLK inputs
in your circuit, but in this case that might work counteractive.

You're right. The Eunuch Selector was part of a larger design and I leave pulldown/up resistors on most inputs out of habit in case I want to interrupt signal flow or add in logic from other places.
