I just had a quick question about the gate mod for the Filter section of the WSG. In Ray's notes on this, he states that S&D on the 5457 should be connected to the outer terminals of R3 (the 1M pot).

I'm confused as to how that exactly works though. Does R3 remain wired as before with the S&D from the 5457 just connecting to 1&3 on R3?

Or does R3 get disconnected from the board so that the signal first passes through S on the 5457, before entering R3's terminal 1, and then terminal 3 connects to D on the 5457 before returning to the board?

I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself clearly, apologies if it's a bit of a logic mess.
