Hi all , happy new year , thought I'd start a new diy pix thread for 2015 Smile Smile Smile .

Please join in and post pics of whatever you have been constructing in 2015.

Finished last night , the 2nd MPS for the new diy drum synth I am building , this MPS has 2 simple LFO's with skew control(MFOS oldies section) at the right of the module , these are for general use on the drum system to save pinching lfo's from the main modular.

Dave.

Klee! I started collecting PCBs and eurorack projects a few years ago, but got sidetracked from them. A new baby on the way (and an early-to-bed wife) has given me some new inspiration (and time!) to get back to these gems. 1st up: The venerable and complex Klee. I found a hiden short on the analog PCB, and had to solder the molex connectors rather than just snap the wires in, but otherwise it was pretty smooth! Next up...SN-Voice and a modularization of my Korg Volca Beats.

Klees are hugely fun! So, so much experimentation is possible with them.

Mind you, with mine, I wound up going through and soldering ALL the bloody crimped connectors.

I guess it's not really off topic (DIY Hardware Wink )

Electric Stereo Hammered Dulcimer - Day 6. I didn't want to build one with a traditional Polished wood finish, rather something more Contemporary/Art Deco-ish. But at the moment it looks more Darth Vader/Hellraiser!

Still got to fit the output socket & chrome trim, hammer home the hitch pins/tuners, then string up.

EDIT - Finished

Glad to say there's enough Ooomph from the Piezos to get a trigger pulse from, so at least I can process it through the modular Wink

Interface for my guitar. Ken Stone's CatgirlSynth60 stomp box adaptor, tied to Harry Bissell's Envelope Detector, tied to Yves Usson's Comparator.

Quite happy, apart from the fact that I got my coordinates for two jacks wrong. At least they weren't the big ones.

I had two issues in bring up, and both were due to connectors needing solder. I quickly decided to solder them all as well, and have no problem with the whole build. I didn't want to debug a crimped cable issue 5 years from now.

And Klees ARE hugely fun! Nice twin sitting behind your GatSynFace Smile

One of my Horndogs for an art show. This one has an amplifier that feeds a piezo disc. You put the piezo in your mouth and it resonates your skull. Good times.

Very Happy

I've been thinking about another green one actually! I'm thinking of 5U, green panels, and bananas. I think I'm more or less done making larger single-panel systems. It's so much easier to actually use a system in progress when it's fully modular. Very Happy I've got a bit more wiring to do on this black one. The sequencer isn't wired yet, and I'm prototyping the final filter for it now. Should be all wrapped up in a couple weeks though. Then maybe onto the green.
