Hi all..

I recently got my hands on a couple of cem3396

I'm quite new to the diy audio thing but have made a few vst plugins over the years and have been producing professionally for about 15 years or so.

I want to try my hand at making a few bits of hardware. I have some basic electronics knowledge and have built a few simple noise makers and soldered a few kits etc over the years too but nothing that requires too much knowledge on the subject...

Anyways I have these chips and have been looking around the web for info and it would seem these could be quite good for a simple synth. I have looked at the data sheet and I understand some of it but at the same time I'm not sure where to start....

I understand it requires 4 different voltages . 12v -12v 5v -5v
It also seems like it should work with 5v potentiometers.
It needs a digital signal for the dco's..I'm guessing I could use a 555 timer for that? Or an arduino if it comes to it for the time being?.

If anyone would be willing to help out and get it up and running I'd be greatly appreciative. I'll send you a cem3396 for yourself at the very least..

I'm a fast learner and am eager to get my hands dirty with all this..

Thanks in advance..

Nathan

Cheers.. Although I have already come across it.. It helps a little but I was hoping someone might chime in that's actually got one working and could explain it in a more coherent manor...

Thanks all the same mate..

You was right it was for the cem3396..

I just need a hand getting my head around it.

Is it possible to pay others to make pcb's on request? Or is that unlikely?

Thanks for replying..
