voice mix levels |

One of the best tips from tips and tricks was to lower the amp envelope level to under 80 percent. It makes a huge difference in clearing up the sound. Before I had paid attention to pre and post filter levels, but I had overlooked this, and I wouldn't be surprised if not knowing it is the reason why some experience synth users end up not liking the andromeda. It's also made me wonder if there is a similar effect with the voice mix levels, I've tried lowering them to under 80 percent, and think it's also cleared up the sound. I couldn't find anything about this in tips and tricks and elsewhere. Has anyone else noticed this or am I losing my marbles? |

I've heard this mentioned a lot, on forums and in the Andromeda Tips and Tricks (to keep the Amp / Levels underneath a certain amount, or else the waveforms get distorted) --- so I hooked my Randy Andy w/ only Osc 1 Sine Wave enabled, up to an Oscilloscope, and indeed, whenever any "Filter Mix" level is above 30 I noticed distortion (ofcourse this is desirable for certain sounds).
i.e. When only Osc 1 is enabled, with a Sine wave and Filter Mix Osc 1 level Is under 30, It's a perfect sine wave. When I increased the Osc 1 Filter Mix above 30, I could see the sine wave getting SLIIGHTTTLYYYYYY more squarish. I did not notice any distortion when experimenting with Voice Level or Master Out. It seems "Filter Mix" levels are the one's to keep an eye on -- keep any value below 30 to keep the waveform 'pure'
