This tune sounds like I made an effort.
But it's really just my same old noodling.

Sometimes it all just falls together.
This was one of those times.

[NOTE: The MP3 has been updated twice since the first posting. I'm having trouble getting the mix just right. I saved a backup of all tracks to try again someday but for now it's time to move on.

The problem is that I used some fairly thick sounds which quickly muddies a mix. But in this case I want those specific sounds.

When I noodle these things together I'm hearing all kinds of sonic interplay between parts. But once recorded, even with a high quality digital recorder, some of those artifacts get diluted or diminished.

This drove me crazy back in 1983 when I was recording on 4-track cassette. I could never get a final stereo mix of a tune to sound like what was going on when I created it. It's much better with new tech but it's still not 100% and I don't think it can be. Besides, if I get the mix perfect for my speakers it won't be perfect on yours.]
