Subject description: I cannot change the program on my Andromeda
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Hi,
Since today, I cannot change the program on my Andromeda. It stays always on patch number 72 of the current bank. When I try to change the program (either through the number buttons or with the up/down buttons), the Andromeda automatically switch on patch 72 (I see that the Andromeda changes to the right patch for a millisecond).
When I restart the Andromeda in reset mode, it loads program patch number 1 of the User bank as expected but, as soon as I try to change it, it is again blocked on number 72.
If I try to store that program in another patch slot, after I done it, the new patch number is changed correctly. Again, if I try to modify that patch number, it returns to patch number 72.
For the mix patches, I can choose whatever patch I want. But when I try to change the program patches for a given mix patches, I have a similar problem. Most of the time, patch number 72 is selected whatever buttons I pressed. But sometimes, another patch number is selected (but which is not related to the buttons pressed).
In practice, it becomes impossible to use my Andromeda.
Anyone has an idea on what to do ?
Thanks.

When I use a plugin in my DAW to choose a given program, Andromeda selects it. Of course, a change in the patch number returns to patch 72, but I can at least select patch number. But at least I can work on it.

don't you have a corrupted patch ?
any possibility to switch bank, remove
patch 72 or so ?
or better reload the whole bank bij loading an other new sysex bank

other thing although less likely is that some buttons are dirty/ cnnecting , push them a few times or try the test mode for panelbuttons to check
( see manual softbuttons test modes)

In fact, I play regularly with the banks and presets buttons. And, after a few weeks, the behavior disappear and I could again choose my presets. Another of this strange things with the Andromeda...
