I'm gonna give it a try.

Thank you!

I know this is an old poste. However I have been reading a lot on easy drum sounds and notice no one includes this basic schematic as a nice start point building block.

I first noticed it in Forest M. Mimi's Timer, op amp and optoelectronic projects several years ago.

The 3. 1m trimmers make it pretty adjustable.

I have a simple stomp box drum machine that I used it for both the bass and snare sound. Not great at either. But good enough to practice guitar with.

Its not a great snare. It's not a great bass. It makes pretty neat chime sounds. And if you ever need that annoying binging sound your car makes when you leave the key in.? It can do that perfectly.

It is a fun little circuit to play with. I have a module in my modular synth with 2 of this untill I find what I want to use permanently.
