Subject description: Memory Card doesn´t work anymore

Hi,

I have been using an SRAM card for storing the sounds I made on the Andromeda and everything worked fine until one day when powering it up it said "Card Error or Uninitialized hit Store to Init Card". I was unable to access my card. I tried to hit store and I tried to change battery but both didn´t help.

Did anyone have the same problem and knows what i should try to do to fix it? I don´t just want to buy a new card to just find out that it isn´t the cards fault.

Thanks for any help!

Hmm I have it since around 2012 or 2013 I think, don´t know if they become old so fast.. would you recommend buying a new one?

Btw it happened when i switched it on after leaving it it for about 2 months unpowered.

i see
did you replace the battery inside the card ?
and if so , tried tp format it again ( by which you'll lose your sounds anyway )
only after these two you can say the card is broken or not tmho

I tried exchanging the battery but it didn´t help. I also tried hitting INIT on the andromeda but it didn´ help either. Btw what do you mean with tp formatting, how do I go about it? Would of course have been cool to access the old sounds but I would be already happy if I could store new patches onto the card.

you have to format any ( new, or deleted) card once
in the manual stands what softbuttons to press etc, to long ago to exactly remember the procedure.
the manual can be found in the first topic on this page.
