Epinasty Metalworks has made me this awesome panel for my 5U Klee....

.... but now I realize I have a potential problem with the hardware. Standard chrome parts aren't going to match very well.

So I'm casting about trying to find suggestions for alternate jack mount hardware (1/4" jacks; I think I can probably find other colored nuts, maybe washers), and really for switches.

The spacing on these switches are such that they don't give me a lot of wiggle for using non-standard "interesting" switches that I already have -- the ones I would consider are all 1/2" to 3/4" wide which doesn't work for the spacing.

Simply an alternate finish would be sufficient, but I'm curious what folks might suggest (PhobOS in particular, you seem to have good sources for interesting hardware).

And yeah knobs are also a consideration, but it's not so hard to find alternate knobs. I'm seriously considering some variation on the gotoh domed guitar knobs; would like the antique gold finish, but not sure I have $6 a knob for genuine parts. May go with black knockoffs in the same style.

Look into guitar relic'ing.

Some people suspend the parts above some vinegar/acid/whathaveyou for a few days or so, then clean 'em up a tiny tiny bit.
