I am thinking of using ChucK for a non music related project at work where I need to transmit information between computers. I need to send out about 200 bytes of data via a UDP message which is made up of chunks which are 4 bytes of HEX information separated by a comma. An example of this is shown below

A0A0,07FF,3456, .....

I am not sure I can squeeze this information into the OSC format.

Looking at some documentation that appears to have netin and netout but they seem to have vanished. Though there is file called util_network.c which is included in the makefile that appears to have both UDP and TCP functions in it.

So the question is can I access UDP without going through OSC and does anyone have some examples

Try netcat: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-use-netcat-to-establish-and-test-tcp-and-udp-connections-on-a-vps

Thanks.

To be honest I already have something working in another language that does what I want. I was hoping to be able to stretch my ChucK programming skills on a none music related project and give myself a Christmas project.
