There is a wacky problem with electro-music.com. I don't get it. It's complicated. It showed up first at the Cheltenham Art Center (CAC), and now it's happening at my house. The symtom is you can't get to electro-music.com, but you can get to other hosts. Crying or Very sad

There is a common configuration between what we were running at the CAC, both use a DLink DI-624 router connected to a cable modem. The cable companies are different though.

The setup in my house has been working flawlessly for well over a year, but this morning, suddenly electro-music.com stopped responding. Global Servers, our provider, assured me the site was up and responding. When I do a traceroute, I go for 11 hops and then get stuck on this router

63.214.153.106 ge2-0.core1.lax.netzero.net

I called my cable company and after 1/2 on hold, they had me take the DLink out of the line and low and behold, I could connect. With the DLink out of the circuit, that router passes my signal along to the server.

They can't explain this. I'm at a loss. I wonder, if anyone else is getting routed through this ge2-0.core1.lax.netzero.net box Question

Does anyone have any ideas? What the heck could this be? Why would the DLink in the middle matter? It doesn't matter for any other site I've tried.

I'm at a loss. I'm worried that other people can't get to the site. HELP!!!

I've experienced issues trying to reach EM today, in the first afternoon. About the router issue... mmm seems like if this DLink goes in loop and doesn't let the signal to pass through. Dunno... too few details to have a logic idea of what cause this problem

I don't think the Dlink is the problem because it doesn't block other sites. Why it won't connect is something I can't fathom. Almost like that router doesn't like double stuffed NAT packets.

I'm looking at getting another host provider service anyhow. I hate problems like this.
