This is the first time I combined my interest and skills in diy synth stuff with my actual art. Built an easy peasy circuit that is producing a tone, in a somehow pseudo-random rhythm, that makes the steel sheets oscillate/vibrate, with the help of exciters. It is using 4093 gates and lfos, very basic active filters and the diode vca with decay control. Enjoy..

When I close my eyes, I dream of oscillating steel sheets - but are they dreaming of me too? (Sebastian Jazura, 2017) from Sebastian Jazura on Vimeo.

Like the mysterious silence that combines with the metallic decay. Super!

I really thought about it, maybe I find a nice little cathedral. But I guess I will not be allowed to drill some holes in the walls

Sorry for the late answer. Just have a look at gasboss schematic here, the idea is almost pretty similar: http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-68558.html

It is a common sort of vca, in lunetta world. The diode (the one at the NAND outputs) is the crucial part. You can skip the transistor, but i would not recommend. It is good to have some kind of buffer/current sink. Should be possible to also include an attack pot. It only works well with digital outputs, everything more analog is getting experimental.
