While playing with the WaveFolder, I discovered this little building block that gives a very smooth hard sync sound when fed with a triangle wave. Essentially, the wavefolder is biased towards the positive as the fold is increased; this brings out the fundamental and even harmonics. The Glide module adds some dynamic interest. The result is similar to a hard sync sound but without the nasty aliasing and does not require a second oscillator.

thanks Jamos! i love this one, ended up building a little synth out of it today, doubling the oscillators, added a filter and playing with the beat-frequencies it gives, sounds nice. did you build a synth with this? would love to hear it.

No, Drabdap, I have not made use of this yet.. was playing around with it at the end of a programming session last week before packing my gear up for a gig.. it's been sitting in the garage since. May give it a shot tonight.

Can you upload your patch? I'd like to hear it.

sure. however it`s very basic, just to try it out, 5 min patch, don`t get offended please. Smile
but it`s funny how deep timbre can change by wiggling sweep, love this trick.
a sample and hold on velocity is probably beneficial here, i kept it static now.
also there is probably a better filter for this than than the stock.
