Hello

I can make another run of PCBs, if people are serious and want them.
But they 8 way switches are no longer available to me, so you
will have to make the module with potentiometers instead [which
is easy to build, but they wont have click stops for each setting
so you will have to mark the panel carefully].

If people want to PM me with serious orders, when there is enough interest then
I can order some more PCBs

Great news! Will PM you later.

One question: does the firmware need to be altered to work with potentiometers or is is the same (so I could still use e.g. 8-way rotary switches)?

thanks!

Hello

No it uses the same firmware.
The 8-way switches are wired with resistors to create a stepped
voltage divider, the potentiometers work as a variable voltage
divider, but not stepped.

Great news for the people who want this seq. I just finished mine, been on the bench quite awhile but I wanted to get it right. Added the portamento switches per stage and it all works nicely.

There is a work-around to the problem of the clicks:
Drill a hole in the knob of the potmeter of a few millimeter, have a small ball with a spring inserted into the hole.
Than drill 8 dents in the frontplate at the right positions.
Something like the picture below.

I guess there is a much easier solution:

https://www.musikding.de/Print-Drehschalter-1-Pol-8-Stellungen

They are also pretty small (compared to my other standard rotary switches). Haven't tried them though..

Also these mini rotary switches look quite small, similar
size to Alpa style pots.

Hi Ryktnk

Those rotary switches would be great.

Will the pcb fit Eurorack format and run on 12V?

Looking forward to finding my inner Dan Lacksman!!

In theory it works on 12v, although I havent tested.
I think some people here have built with 12v

There are euro units in the photos above, so plenty of people running them in euro format.

Ryk, i would be up for a pair of boards (one with each revision chip)

Thank you,
Julian

ps. if / when the switch is confirmed, i will edit the panel files for it.

Hi Ryk,

I am in for 2 sets of PCBs too. I also need a V 3.1 IC to upgrade my existing 185
and I guess you also provide these updated ICs with the new boards too.

I would also pay for two Roland 100 M type panels...

Glad to see you still active on this forum.

Also, I wanted to ask if you would be interested in some new project ideas.

I wrote an email to you but not sure if you still use the old one.
