The Finish role in WOII is realy worthy of a seperate thread all by itself, frankly all of Scandinavia is quite interesting with such charming incidents as the allies placing mines in the fjords without consulting the local authorities on wether they actually *wanted* to have explosives installed on their doorstep.

Indeed. Hmm, do we need a forum set up just for stuff like this? Shocked Very Happy

OT, trivia.. but interesting:

One of the most impressive propagada efforts ever was the british complete U-turn on the portrayal of Ivan and the nasty commies. It was considered to be political suicide to actually tell british citizens that Russia was now an allied. In order to sell this to the public an immense propaganda campaign transformed Stalin and his evil henchmen into cuddly furry friends. Believe me, this was a major effort.

Hmmm, a forum.... I don´t think people would agree to having a section on war trivia. I also think it could possibly atract the kind of individual you would prefer not to atract.....

About booking; mail to the same adress mentioned in that quote for that. We were planning a scandinavia/poland/germany kind of thing this fall involving one or two vans which would cut the usual flight tickets out of the equation. That might work out?

Deknow is pretty much correct about how the CAE/Kurtz thingie has been portrayed in the artyfarty press. To me it seems that the event is seen as right wing/fascist kind of censorhip. I have heard local artists discuss the case and it sounds like deknow knows the very same guys.
However, non-musician artists don´t really very often see musicians as artists. Art is art. Music is music.

It was joke. Very Happy

And I am pretty sure a reenactment of the Battle of the Bulge is a very bad idea for Electro-Music 2006 event. We could do a play by Shakespeare though. The Tempest?

I think I would be alienating people with you if those are the circumstances.

Forgive me, Kassen, for saying this, but I get the feeling that at times you might find alienating people amusing. Shocked

Well, yes, and at others it´s a part of the artistic statement ;¬)

See? at this rate we drift off-topic so far we drift in again from the other end, like a modern day Marco Polo. Sorta.
