I was looking at buying a fume extractor, but they were a little more expensive than I wanted to pay for a fan with a filter. I remembered seeing a video a long time ago where someone made their own, so I made one too.

I use 2 fans inside a computer PSU case. I cut a piece of a carbon filter from a range hood filter to clean the air.

I use PWM to control the fan speed. I also added a toggle switch to jump immediately to full speed.

This has been on my radar for a while as "I ought to do something about that".

Thanks for an actual project that might help kick start my motivation Smile
