Hi!

I was wondering if there are any stripboard layouts for the updated sample & hold mod on mfos.com? I found something that Krunkus had made but it wasn't the whole picture. I have the PCB for the soundlab and just want to add the s&h as a stripboard.

There's this mod of the SoundLab board, but you'll have to extract the S&H bit from the top left corner. I haven't done just the S&H on stripboard. There is a layout of the S&H mkII which I've done with some extra VCOs as well. Tell me if you want that and I'll find it.

Here 'tis,
The designators for the S&H are as per Ray's schem +300. The designators for the extra 2 VCOs are as per Ray's schem. I've almost finished wiring this into my SoundLab, so I'll soon be able to verify that it's a goer. (Or I'll be working out why it isn't! Laughing )
Enjoy!

Thanks Uncle --much appreciated-- really want to make this when I have time. (hhmmm...time... that thing that seems so short when trying to work on projects... yet so long when we are too busy to be working on projects...)

The bottom half is the dual VCOs from the SoundLab layout. The top half (5 chips) is the S&H Mk2.

The first time I saw a stripboard layout, courtesy of Uncle Krunkus, I thought it was absolutely fascinating. I just had to try my hand at it and my search for a not-too-complicated schematic I could use for my first effort led me back to MFOS and Ray's great little Micro Sample & Hold circuit. It didn't take long to catch on to Lochmaster and after a few false starts to find what felt like the best approach, two evenings later this is what I came up with.

Please note, I haven't tested it, haven't even really done a second pass with a fresh printout of the schematic to verify my work... I was just so excited to have gotten one done I felt like I had to share it. Please let me know if you spot any glaring errors, or, better yet, let me know if you wired it up and found it to work right out of the gate... that would be way too cool. BTW, the schematic used is the one dated 2/17/08 on the MFOS website and all parts values were taken directly from it.

It would be nice to get panel wiring diagrams also. And of course what striboard refers to what Rays plaanes.

The stripboard layout I shared above is based on Ray's Old Micro Sample and Hold schematic. There's a wiring diagram on that page. IHTH.

Will this work with +/- 15V like many of the other circuits?

Hi

Has anyone tested the MFOS 'old' S&H layout posted by marvkaye here or the one by Dego.

It is a few years ago so maybe someone has?

I´ve just finished mine Soundlab S&H

It was fun to build and ran without stress at the first try.
