Here are al the patches I used for the Noodle Radio - I zipped 'm up for easier use.

The patch 05-007-control goes into G2-1, all other patches go ino G2-2. G2-1's MIDI out should be conected to G2-2's MIDI in and the audio 1 and 2 outs of G2-2 run to audio ins 1 and 2 of G2-1. The final result then comes out of the audio 1 and 2 outputs of G2-1.

I posted some of the patches before but this is the complete and official set.

Jan.

Wonderful! thank you so much, Jan.
I loved the Noodle Radio at em2005...
I wanted to listen to it in a quiet room for awhile, though, and now I can!

Thanks.

I forgot to mention:

In the control patch in the FX section the upper left module (labeled "selection") does the channel changes. This knob listens to MIDI CC 111 for external control - that was what the knob on the Noodle Radio was doing. (but there is auto channel selection as well)

I was wondering when we were going to get to see it.
I just went through the 224 pictures that Dave posted, not a glimpse of the Radio Smile

It was sent to the list- yesterday, I believe, but I don't think it was sent to the forums.

Those aren't posted by Dave, but by Hong.

Thanks Jan, this is great. As soon as I get my expansion card, noodle radio "stations" will be playing a lot here.

How did you pack this for travel on an airline?

Can you post some stories about people's reactions to the Radio?

.

A bit of a late reaction, I wanted to record the radio first - see below.

Good question, took me some time to figure it out :-)

The radio was made of six wooden panels that I packed into the check-in bag. the panels could be clicked onto each other using velcro, that is : high-tech velcro, some brilliant stuff made by 3M, a few square inches would hold an elephant in place I guess :-)

The two engines fitted in the hand baggage along with a laptop (not used for the project) and the one knob controller and some cables and stuff. The engines and the controller were velcro'd to the panels - I had all of this prepared before I left and could set it up in an hour or so.

Howard and Greg lent me an amplifier and speakers, so I didn't have to take those. Did I thank you guys for that, I'm affraid I forgot ... I'll thank you now: thanks !

Before I built this radio I had another one having a built in amplifier and speakers (my 7 euro sound system), but that one was too heavy and too large to take with me.

On the way back I decided to not take the panels with me, left them at Howards place - that saved me some kilo's on the way back.

One interesting sorry was Jack's, saying that he would love to have such a radio in his car - which hits the nail right on the head conceptually I think. This would be a real challenge though, to build it that small.

For those not having a G2 - I made a one hour recording that I posted onto my web site - click the WWW button below this mail. The recording is basically unedited, and I'm turning the knob occasionally to dial into another noodle, you'll only hear a small part of all the channels in it. (and I added a few new patches lately, posted elswhee on this forum).

Thanks all for your reactions.

Jan.
