Subject description: 90 degrees LED acting strange
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Hi folks: I built this awhile back, but have observed a weird but interesting anomaly with the 90 degree LED as follows: it shines brighter than the rest and 'overlaps' with its 0 and 270 counterparts. Sonically, this affects the CV so that it appears to accelerate and slow down by itself (at a slow setting). It's a really interesting effect and very usable musically, but not (I suspect) what Mr Henry had in mind.

I've ordered a second PCB to see if I can replicate the quirk, which might be caused by a dodgy timing cap? Any advice on this will be greatly appreciated, although I'm inclined to leave it as is and build the second version to see (as before) if the 'fault' is replicable.

Thanks in advance and greetings from Pretoria, South Africa.
