So, i discovered that my Blofeld desktop model does not give any sound out, any of the plugs, so apparently the transistor fault is the cause of this, i guess.

Fixing it seems pretty easy, at least some instructions what i have found, from the net, but the problem is, my Blofeld has different kind of pcb in it, what is in these instructions. I think it is newer model.

Does anyone know or have repaired this kind of pcb with the same sound problem?

Now i did get sound from the two external speaker plugs, but it was terrible quiet although i had the volume at maximum. The headphone plug remained dead, no sound at all. All the symptoms seems to indicate to that resistor problem, which is well know in these machines.

I disconnected the pcb from the case and here it is. The board is BFMB V2.04 DT

Can anyone confirm where is the right resistor which causes this problem?

So i got mine fixed after hard research and work! I post the solution what i used, if it would help someone, who is struggling with same problem.

I am not expert and if you follow these instructions, you do it with your own responsibility. This is just how i did get my machine back working again.

Below is picture of the newer pcb where i have marked the faulty resistor place with red circle. Some reason, Waldorf decided to put the part in more difficult place to replaced it, what it was in the older version, where it was fairly easy to fix. Between two capacitors, which are quite close to that resistor, so desoldering and new part soldering can be very tricky!

Here is the old scorched resistor and the new one, side by side.

I used SMD 6R8 1206. I´m not totally sure is this the right one, but at least it fixed the problem and hopefully last that way.

One close up picture of the resistor, how difficult the place is. You have to use fairly small soldering iron, that you don´t hit the capacitors which are very close to that working area.

Desoldering and soldering SMD parts can be tricky, but luckily there is good videos about it in Youtube.
