Would you mind posting some documentation explaining what this patch is used for 3phase? It's cool to have info with the patches.
But I dont know what this is used for and am interested.

I requested that i sometimes need a compare module that only triggers when having the same value..not the same value and bigger, as like in the compare/value module.

Somebody stated that the value switch is good for that but it dont reacts on bipolar inputs..what can be easily fixed with a value converter module in the input.. In this version with a switch..but to save dsp the switch can be removed in the actual patch.
I had used the value switches a couple of times in the past but sometimes run into problems so still felt the need for a dedicated module.. The kind of problems that happend when very fast parameterchanges with continous controlers or audio like signals made the switch not react properly...
The Quantizer module in the input is sorting theese issues.
It appears in 80% of the cases not necessary but in some cases where you dont get acurate triggering in a logical configurations these quantizer in the input cures quite a lot of little hazzles...
As it name says its quantizing its input values to even numbers...
The nord modular system is able to produce values inbetween...
Quite a few values inbetween actually.
Otherwise you wouldnt hear a clean pitch sweep on an oscillator when adjusting a constant module connected to a pitch mod input..
So even when the Module only can send 128 full number values the control signal itself knows states where you have subdivisions..

That can cause a situation where the trigger state with an value switch just becomes too short to be propperly read out.
For examples when the trigger value is for and the inputvalue is going
3.85>3.97>4.00>4.14> 4.6... with the quantizer the values will look like
3.00>>>>>4.00>>>>5.0...
This makes the time the switch has to process its values a bit longer and therefore makes it to react more acurate in certain situations.

In most aplications where clean controlsignals can be applied the quantizer can be removed.

I usually like to have buildingblocks that are on the safe side.
It also creats easy options for reductions when you have to slim a patch.

You can safe quite a few % of this building block in most applikations but as soon you try to trigger with audiorate sources you might need the quantized input...

Here is another example using staightforward logic:

But if the input value is coming from e.g. a LFO and what needs to be checked is if the lfo is 'passing' the compare value there is a chance that the lfo, due to the 24-bit signal is never really exactly equal to the compare value. In that case two extra flipflops can make sure that whenever the lfo or oscillator signal 'passes' the compare value, in either a rising or falling direction, a very short trigger pulse will be produced.

Note that the flipflops will get triggered and then immediately reset themselves. This creates the short pulses.
