My first album is over... so now what? |
|
|
I have worked for four years now on a 17 epileptics Drill And Bass tracks project named ''L'éclectique Dick The Quick Doesn't Need A Cool Cover''.
I like you guys to give me your opinion on the composition and the production of these three tracks.
Abstract drum and bass classic d'un futur rapproché and Brass comarad
are two average freak drill and bass tracks.
L'éclectique dick the quick au pays des chinois!!!!!! is a study on polyphonic saturation.
Thx for your attention

What about the production... are these tracks to limited and mix with too much high frequency? |

I try to start with a completly new studio setup for each track (some time, for each section of a track like in L'éclectique dick the quick au pays des chinois!!!)
but technically, there is a lot of fruity loop, reason, native instrument, miscelaneous plugins and sweat. |

Hard to tell right now. They sound just fine I think. I might get back to you on this later. Great stuff. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Wow! This is the best stuff to appear here in a while. I like the first one best but they're all excellent. This is kinda reminiscent of music by Squarepusher and maybe Aphex Twin, but you're not riding on their coat tails.
In a word: fantastic! Both of my thumbs up and I'll toss in a few extra ones as well.
Do you sell this album somewhere? I might be interested in buying it, you know. |

As i said in my description, this is my very fist album.
For the first 4 years I was kind of shy, hiding my stuff in my computer.
I finished the main mix 3 week ago and i was looking for good records labels over the net when i found this very interesting text:
http://www.staalplaat.com/demo_policy/
It changes my way of thinking.
I am happy to live in a world where it is so easy to meet people sharing our interest!
By the way, there is 2 other tracks at:

Watch out:
Introducing Dick The Quick is supposed to be an hiphop album intro parody but it sounds more like a serious wannabe track...God Damn me. |
