Just messing around with the editor and found a patch "textpad" under the patch menu. Seems like a useful place to put patch notes. Does anyone actually use this?

Not many do, ocasionally I have a look & then nothing is in it mostly. Sometimes there is something for patches that are complex enough to need a manual.

People tend to write text on modules rather, this has been the case for he NM Classic as well (that one has text pad functionalty as well).

For the G2 it could be the case that not many people know about the text pad, but for the Classic I think we had many discussions (on the NM list) about how it should be used and that it really should be used and I even ended up writing a patch note stamper program that could write copyright messages and the like in batch mode directly into the text inside the patch itself.

But it would be handy, the text pad I mean, were it used more :-)

I think the "comment" module that does nothing but display text is a realy good move. Mostly "real" programs don't have their comments in a seperate file either.

the g2 textpad has a pretty low character limit, too... i like the comment modules, as well... just wish they could accommodate more text.

cool guys , I didnt even know it existed.
I like it when good info is with patches.
But yes the text little modules are nice but indeed need to be able to accept more characters...
