A bit of a hack, but ...

Insted of uysing the 5th page button for (E / Effect), it would be nice if this button could be used as a 4th column. This should be a switch (on a per/patch level possibly). To either use 5x3 panel or 4x4.

IUt would not be perfect as the 5th button is not spaced out evenly (there is a bigger gap between column 3 and 4)> Very handy for assigning 32 step sequences. And th G2 gets 8 extra assignable controlls vs 120 currenlty. ANd I do run out of knobs quite frequently, esp when mapping multiple sequencers.

Existing patches would have their 5 page assignments wiped out if you switched to this mode.

That’s not a bad idea. Setting the sequencers with the knobs is so much better that using the editor.

I rather would solve this with better sequencer modules...

multipattern/multibar sequencers..

Or one that only uses 2 knobs and 2 buttons to do all edits..

the led colar of the left knob ist cycling thru its 15 positions and the led underneath it to show which of the 16 stepd is actually playing...
The Knob to its right it showing the values..the button underneath the status of the trigger...

When you press the right button you are in edit mode..
The sequencer is still running but the cycling of the leds stops..
You can now select with the right knob the edit step and with the left the value for that step..

That would be nice..64 steps editable in one row of knobs..and what a light show Smile))

Hey 3phase,

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (big sigh or relief) .... it is so nice to hear others ask for this.

They need to extend this to envelopes and LFOs too (instead of using variations),

all of these we should have 64 patterns (so you can use sequencers to change patterns) and a sexy blue pattern modulation input ... (input values 0..63 would control the pattern #)

I've been asking for this for a VVVVEEERRRYYY long time (since NMClassic v3.03! back in 1999) ....

for me this is the top feature I want in the G2, followed by independant patch loading (so if you load slot A, patches in slots B-D will not be muted) a close 2nd.

I once made a concept for a sequencer that is either 4 bars with each 16 steps or a polyphon sequencer with 4 voices...

in mono mode you cycle thru the pages while in poly mode you edit each voice... This together with the 2 knob/edit idea ( in this case with a third knob to select the page) and some modules that can split signal streams voice related..

I hope clavia sees the importance of more advanced sequencer modules aswell. certain popular musical styles would benefit from that. Especially in stage situations. And the G2 is ment to be a performance instrument.
It should be possible to do everything a shitty MC 303 can do aswell.

I like that idea, especially for sequencers!

my current sequencer patching style incorporates stuff like decay, seq length etc on the 3rd page but oh how I would rejoice if 32 steps would be possible..

another thing that would be nice if you could assign all 16 steps of an EVNT seq to both knobs (1-Cool and buttons (9-16) of a single page (instead of first seq 1-8 knobs, second seq 1-8 buttons).. or am I missing something here?

Another curcial module I would love a clocked gate module (hold for x clk cycles) ... Clavia knows I'm begging for this ... it's not elegant to patch this manually

clck input
reset input
gate length mod inpput
gate legnth knob (0..128)

gate output
