Darn, I had just stripboarded a circuit with two IC's on, a TL084 and a LM13700, but I got the +/- the wrong way round on the lm13700! So, now my negative regulator on my PSU is dead (luckily, i have spare regulator!) and the lm13700 is possibly dead.

Lesson to be learnt here, get your supply rails right! It was just lucky that i noticed the slight aroma!

Hmm, the sweet smell of Amperes :-)

I don't do hardware anymore, just software, but I do remember that !
