Odd behaviour using midi |
|
|
Hey guys!
My Andromeda seems to be behaving strangely when i have the midi connected. Firstly, sometimes when I switch on (with midi connected) the screen kinda flashes the logo indefinitely and the synth refuses to boot up. Secondly, I was noticing a lot of note-stealing type behaviour when just playing the synth in regular program mode with the midi connected. I have the little voice monitor on the screen and noticed that on a sound that uses two voices per note ordinarily, when I have the midi connected it seems to use four voices per note!
Any ideas ?

looks like a midiloop. a6 sents to computerprogram, computer program sends out what he receives to a6 , a6 sends out what he receives etc.
somewhere in the loop you'll have to stop it either at the a6 ( put out receive while sending/ playing) or at the computersequenser program you'll use.
cubase has a function for that under midisetup: you can say b.e. channel1 through: put it outout. it's somewhere under midifilters i guess.
otherwise when recorrding put all sending/ through of mididata on your pc out and put it on again when you'r finished.
hope it's a bit clearer this way, maybe someone else is better in explaining this then me.
welcome, sunny |

i just took a look at my a6;
easiest way i guess:
press"global"
select"panel"
now you'll see :"rxmode" and "txmode"
either put "rx mode" off when recording or
put" tx mode" to midi ( meaning the a6 doesn't sent to your local-keyboard anymore , so when you play it only sends out to the computer, the computer sends it back to your a6 so you'll hear to sound you're playing with a veryvery small delay in time)
