Hi everyone.

Here is my first attempt at recreating the sound of the sea - a sound I love. Unfortunately, I don't have an audio clip to emulate and so this patch was created from my memory of the sound from recent beach trips Very Happy . I have big plans to improve this patch to make the cycle of waves more realistic, but as it is, I think it sounds pretty good so far.

Of course, I may never get round to it, but I am hoping to devise some kind of mechanism to calculate the size of the wave crash depending on the number of waves arriving, their individual sizes and whether each one is travelling up the beach or back to the sea.

I was trying to find some kind of pattern in the way the waves were arriving, but there were none apparent. All that I could work out is that on average, a wave would arrive at least every three seconds, usually more often and sometimes in twos or even threes! Oh, and that each wave doesn't really make a(n audible) sound until it breaks.

As I have mentioned before, it's just a case of cracking the amount and the placement of the 'randomness' of each sound that I am trying to recreate... I just hope I can! Very Happy I would love to have a patch that really sounded like the sea!

For now though, enjoy this patch. I have also attached an audio example in mp3 format.

Embarassed ... As always, I forgot to mention that the patch needs to be loaded into slot A.
