Pachelbel electron-canon |
|
|
I'm working on a new realization of baroque musics with electronical devices
what do you think about Pachelbel canon in electronic sounds?
(I have taken off the music, if you are interested in it send me an email about) _________________ Romani Edoardo Last edited by Carsulae on Wed Oct 19, 2005 12:20 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I am not sure I am the right person to say anything sensible about this kind of music. I never really liked the Wendy Carlos classical redressing stuff.
What you have done here isnĀ“t that far removed form the Carlos stuff, but I tend to ask myself if this really takes the very music somewhere interesting. This piece is very eaily affected by different perfomance traditions. Using conventional instruments this means you can make a lot out of this one and take it interesting places.
Anyway, you have put some effort into this one and I think you should keep it up. Well done.
Why not try rewriting the voices of something like PergolesiĀ“s Stabat Mater? It already has a lot of tension and you can turn that one into something very personal. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Quote: | The second half of Brian Eno's pioneering 1975 ambient music recording Discreet Music consists of a series of versions of Pachelbel's canon to which various algorithmic transformations have been applied, rendering it almost unrecognisable. |

I like Pergolesi |
|

Uhh
rewriting antique music is not my mainly musical interest, only few tracks ,
a "sound experiment".
But i like Pergolesi and a remaking in electronical way seems interesting
Why don't i try in it?
