Forwarding this from rec.music.ambient:

Some VERY interesting things will happen on Dutch and German radio in
January regarding Jon Hassell.
(The rest of the world will have to do with the simultaneous webcast of the
4FM programs).

Here's some info:

Dutch radio program *Supplement* features a 2.5 hr portrait of Jon Hassell
(on jan, 25, 21'30" CET) at the close of the HOW R U SA? series (of
composers portraits - the other parts might be equally interesting!). The
complete playlist is available through the website below.
This playlist will make any Jon Hassell fan sit upright, since it features
some private recordings (like an outtake from Fascinoma recording sessions)!

The night before (January 24, 23'05" CET) promises to be even more
spectacular:
Dutch Radio 4 and German WDR 3 will share the world premiere of "The Tubes
(L.A.)", composed by Michael Fahres, extensively featuring Jon Hassell.
This composition is based on a very peculiar natural breathing effect of the
surf on one of the Canary Islands.
The breathy trumpet of Jon Hassell and the didgeridoo played by Mark Atkins
seamlessly add to this peculiar effect.

It is yet unknown if this composition will ever make it to cd, so be
prepared!!!
