Uncle Krunkus' Super Flanger |
|
|
Here is a pic of the super flanger I was working on when I discovered the Soundlab page. It's finished now and sits permanently across my D50 output. Sounds very smooth. Great thing about DIY electronic music is that I'm already working out how to add my own inverter switches etc. If anyone wants pics to show how to make your own let me know.

Hmm.. I have been trying to find a supplier if rack thingies like that one for ages. I found one, but they are asking 400 euro for something like that. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

That 1RU version in the pic you can get from Jaycar for $55AU, that's about E34, $50AU if you get 4, $44AU if you get 10 or more. Jaycar do international orders, but the postage might be pricey as these units are mostly steel. I spose if you got 4 or more it could be worth it.
I must admit they are nice to work with, and they include a double front panel option for mounting components back from the faceplate.

THX! Great link! This is just what I need. I have some vocoder, preamp and compressor projects coming up.
It seems a bit fishy that I cannot find any suff like this in Norway or Sweden. Perhaps I should message Dr. Justice. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

topic moved |
|
|
I just moved this topic from the SoundLab forum to DIY synths- as I thought that would be a more appropriate place for it.
NB-mosc, here's a classic example of needing to moderate outside the SL forum- because now I can't change the title of the post- ie to erase the 'OT' header. Perhaps I should also moderate this DIY forum- as it is closely tied in with the Sound Lab forum?? Waht do you think Jason?
edit- I can't change the size of the photo either now I've moved it. Bureaucracy I think it is called Mosc? We have too much of this already! |

Hmmmm,....
Yeah I made it 700 wide, and when you click it you get the 700 wide version, but it puts a kind of a thumbnail on the forum page which is 399 wide. I reckon it's part of the new software Mosc installed. Maybe for the page it automatically scales it down so that the too wide issue is not a problem anymore. _________________ What makes a space ours, is what we put there, and what we do there. |

COOL!- although it needs to be a LOT bigger than that!- it's about as lame as all those internet sites that say click here for the larger image- and it's the same size, but just in a different window!!
If this is to be an educational forum (it is isn't it? ) this clicked-on photo needs to be a lot BIGGER! _________________ ACHTUNG!

Im not sure how this software works. Maybe it does it magic when the picture is uploaded. I notice that this thumbnailing effect doesn't work on pictures that are already posted. I have the thumbnail feature set to kick in at 700 X 700. We need to do some more testing of this. I've always had thumbnailing turned off and it hasn't been a problem except when people post big pictures - duh... _________________ --Howard
