I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice on a box to take 8 channels of line input audio and convert to ADAT. I've seen a few cheap options, notably the SM Pro Audio AO8 and the M-Audio Octane.

Does anyone have any experience with these or other boxes?

Thanks Smile

Thanks Seraph Smile

I'm guessing that if I use a master word clock from a high quality sound card like the Emu 1820m, then there's really no difference between different adat converter boxes, because jitter and bad clocks won't be an issue? Or are there other factors that I'm not aware of?
