If you are in the Chicago area, or are planning travel
through illinois, drop by Muse Cafe.

A trio of owners bought the cafe and formed the organization
in late August 05'. Live events occur tuesday through
thursdasy nites, 7-10pm and are all donation based,
directly to the artists.

Wednesday:::Sonic Foundry Electronik Series
experimental electronic-idm-drillNbass-abstract breaks-
electro-acoustic outfits-jungle-ambient-glitch-

The best local and national laptopists, djs, and
electro-acoustic fused groups coffee can buy! Wink

Thursdays:::Improvised Intuitive Series
freejazz-experimental-live organica-odd indie
Celebrating several great traditions in Chicago,
the extensive freejazz scene here in congruence
with the southside, north & northwest side avant
garde circles, Muse presents a genuine showcase
of the various talents floating between the inside
of jazz tradition and the extreme outside. Our
concern is the presentation of the much understated
middle ground between the two, connecting with
fusion/prog-live drumNbass outfits-indie/punk

Our jam sessions occur on:
(hosting ensembles vary according to date)

1st thurs:::Experimental Electro-Acoustic Jam
Workshop (starting Feb 2nd w/ Steps(74)
Dave Z Marsalek-trapkit/electronics (Spizm/Trioizm)

Congrats, Dave. I wish you all the best of luck with the Muse Cafe and your forum here. I look forward to visiting your new place - hopefully playing there.

All the best...

ELECTRO-MUSIC.COM
the midwest chapter begins...
we should plan a festival out
here in chicago with the
EM banner at its helm.

There are a few places that would
be potentially willing to be a part of
this:::
muse cafe, F212, Rodan, Sonotheque,
Hotti Biscotti, 6odium, hungry brain

mosc, we'll be in touch
