Subject description: Run PD patches in your iPod

PdPod allows the creation of interactive musical applications for the iPod. Guenter Geiger has made PDa, a port of Pure Data for PDA linux devices which was recently adapted to run under iPod linux as well. Martin Kaltenbrunner created a GUI application which allows the execution, display and control of PD patches from within podzilla. This application was created at the Music Technology Group at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.

Here's the link: http://ipodlinux.org/PdPod

I have successfully installed ipodlinux/podzilla in my 1st generation iPod and then PdPod.
This turned out to be a big surprise; my iPod gained a new functionality!
Not only ipodlinux allowed for a reasonable number of added features, it also turned the iPod into a music/noise making machine.

Cool

This is VERY cool! Imagine sending out songs in the form of a Pd patch, instead of mp3? Smaller file to boot!

When is the MIDI interface available for the iPod??

Yes, but you still have to consider the strain you put on the iPod's processor.
