In a performance oriented synth, I don't mind having the number of knobs reduced (as long as they're fully assignable). Normally there are only a few parameters that I want to tweak (or can remember) in real time.
I guess this will be priced to be competitive with the MicroKorg (around $400).

Yes, it's different. Saves space I guess.
I would rather have them on the left of the keyboard.
But maybe one could get used to this.

Yes, it has everything the Ion has, apparently also adding reverb and a step sequencer!
