Can the Metasonix modules fit on analog modular systems? I have a Doepfer A100 and I have to know if I can enjoy some cool tube modules on my system. Smile

It's still going to need it's own powersupply - these things draw a ton!

I use a TM-1 waveshaper in my Doepfer rig. It does a lot of nice thing, from brutal distorsion to thick organic textures, and I use it often for drones or basic rythm patterns, it fits very nice with a vactrol Low pass gate, that has also the organic woody sound. I just love it.
But they are a rather unpredictable, with a tendency to self-oscillate. And they want 12 V AC (not DC) so you have to use a special power supply. Mine got delivered with an 110 V adapter. So if you live in 230 volt World, you have to get another adapter or a 230 -110 converter.
But it is worth it.

Can you shape the wave of an LFO with the TM-1?
What I mean is, can you use the TM-1's output to modulate a wave or a filter?

No, at least, I could not do it with my TM-1. The Doepfer distortion/waveshaper can do it, but it seems like this audio devices has no DC through capability.
When I put LFO signals in mine TM-1 , it self-oscillates and get modulated by the LFO. And that signal can of course be used as a (rather rough and beefy) modulation signal.

Thanks for the prompt reply!
In the synthtopia forum more than 100 lurkers couldn't give me a simple answer.

Cheers!

Well, forums is made for communication, or what else...
Question is if the biggest down side with the Metasonix is the deliverance time. Eric Barbour is soldering the things together more or less by his own. I ordered a tube VCO in the end of November. Now, in mid March, the internet retailer TBS of Germany finally has sent me a package. I´ll go and get it tomorrow and hope for some nice and noisy sounds.
