MidiPipe 0.7.2
by: Nico Wald

MidiPipe is freeware and comes with no warranties. It has been well tested and has shown no major problems, but is not finished. It can be useful in a music studio or on stage to modify MIDI messages in real-time.

Right now it comes with the following tools:
Midi In - connects a MIDI input to the pipe
Midi Out - connects a MIDI output to the pipe
AList - outputs messages to the screen
Message Converter - converts messages from one type to an other
Delay - delays the time for when the message is scheduled
Transpose - transposes note messages up or down
Message Filter - filters by messages
Channel Filter - filters by channel
Channel Router - routes channels
Keyboard Split - moves note on/off messages above/below a split point to a different channel
Randomizer - randomly changes any parameter value(s) of any channel message(s)
Keyboard - play a on screen keyboard with your mouse or keys; will display arriving messages too
MicroTuner - apply different scales
Set - set any parameter value(s) of any channel message(s) to any value
Duration - add a delay between Note On and Note Off messages

What's New:
Version 0.7.2 adds the following:
moved development to Xcode (Panther)
generally optimized MIDI message handling (lower latency)
now tools can be disabled for temporarily turning them off without loosing their settings
fixed bugs in "Keyboard" tool
added "(N)RPN Mapper" tool
"AppleScript Trigger" tool now passes MIDI message to script and script can return a message which is placed in the pipe

Requirements:
Mac OS 10.2 or later.

Hello there!

Can someone here can help me with MidiPipe... I'm trying to figure out how to get the volume fader on my Roland PC300 to trigger Note On and successfully change pitch... (and if possible somehow set parameters for the lowest and highest note)

Under 'Pipes' I've set up:

Midi In> Roland PC-300
Message Converter> IN: Control Change # 007, >OUT: Note On
Midi Out> MidiPipe Output 1

I've got this going into SampleTank inside Cubase. That's working fine as I have managed to use the pitch wheel control changes to trigger Note On but it's difficult to be precise. I was hoping I'd have more luck with the volume fader! However when I move the fader I only get one note come out.. and the pitch does not change as I move this fader up and down.

I would really appreciate if anyone could explain how I achieve this... I've already left some posts on the midipipe forum plus I've contacted the guy who made the application but no replies... Hope I'm not too late!

Many thanks,

A
